Lorry Mounted Crane Training
This is a one day course for drivers of vehicles with lorry mounted cranes. In line with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 Employers have a duty to maintain all plant and equipment and provide adequate information and training for employees.

- Pre use checks & Maintenance
- Stability of the lorry loader
- Introduction to the machine
- Basic hand signals
- Stacking loads
- Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regs 1998
- Planning your job
- Hazards on construction sites
- Lifting and transporting loads
- Basic slinging
- Assessments ( theory and practical )
Overhead Pendant Crane Training
This one day course will teach candidates how to safely operate a pendant crane including instruction on safe methods of use. The course will provide candidates with practical experience in maneuvering heavy goods. This course meets the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety Executive.

- Stopping/Starting
- Traverse
- Pathways
- Lifting Weight/Off Central Load
- Lowering/Raising
- Safe Storage
- Safe Lifting from vehicles Crane & Hoist
- Responsibilities and legal requirements including Health & Safety
- Examination of lifting gear
- Calculation of breaking strain and safe working loads of ropes of any circumference and chains of any diameter
- Daily Safety Checks
- Weight Estimation
- Safe methods of lifting
- Effects of angles in relation to the slinging of materials
- Course review and evaluation
Gantry Crane Training
This one day course will teach candidates how to safely operate a Gantry crane including instruction on safe methods of use, do’s and don’t’s and slinging. The course will provide candidates with both practical and theoretical knowledge in the use of the Gantry Crane. This course meets the statutory requirements of the Health & Safety Executive.
