The Security Industry Authority (SIA) - (this is a link to the Security Industries Authority Website) -  requires that candidates have undertaken a nationally approved programme of training and achieved the said qualification before applying for an SIA Licence.

Award in Security Guarding (Scotland)

  • Conflict Management in the Private Security Industry
  • Working as a Security Officer.

Award in CCTV Operations (Public Space Surveillance)

  • Working in the Private Security Industry
  • Practical Operation of CCTV Equipment.
  • Working as a CCTV Operator.

Applying for a Licence

Once you have successfully completed your SIA training you need to apply to the security Industry Authority for your licence to work as a Security Guard, Door Supervisor or CCTV Operator.
