RTITB LIFT TRUCK INSTRUCTOR COURSES

The Lift Truck Instructor training course provides candidates with the skills to prepare and examine operators for working with lift trucks in accordance with best practice. Courses will be available at our centre in Motherwell.  We envisage the first course will run late October and have provisionally put the following dates in the diary.  Please get in touch if you are interested in this course.

1 day course for candidates who have been previous trained and can provide evidence (certificate – including in-house versions, Photo ID card or training record).

Reach Forklift Truck Courses (RTITB)

CONVERSION:  for candidates who hold certificates on other qualifying Forklifts (such as a Counterbalance)

16 – 17 January 2025 – 2 Spaces

REFRESHER:  for candidates who hold a previous certificate (even if it is out of date), providing they have plenty experience using the truck.

Course Dates: TBC

Counterbalance Experienced Course

This course is for candidates with experience who have either never been certificated, or for those unable to provide evidence of their training.  Also suitable for candidates who currently hold a foreign certificate and wish to convert this to a UK certificate or candidates who would benefit for more practicse time on the truck than is allocated for a refersher course (i.e. those who haven’t used the trucks for several years).

This is a one day course for those with no experience of operating a PPT.  This course is an ideal entry level qualification to working in a Warehouse environment.

We also offer a basic half day Manual Handling course as part of our In-Centre Warehouse Operatives course:

SCOTTISH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID

This new course which must be presented by a qualified SMHFA instructor is continuously monitored by Public Health Scotland.  This course must have a minimum of 8 registered candiates before it can run.

The course does not train people to be mental health workers. It offers basic general information about mental health problems. The knowledge presented and understanding developed in the course helps to remove stigma and fear and to give confidence in approaching a person in distress.

Mental Health First Aid is an initial response to distress and all participants on the course understand that this help is given only until other suitable or professional help can be found.
